  • Hyundai Motor expands cooperation with European e-mobility engagement and service platform &Charge to six more markets
  • Hyundai customers can collect bonus points via ‘&Charge Kilometres’ that can be used in Charge myHyundai app for free public EV charging

Hyundai Motor Europe has announced the expansion of its cooperation with &Charge, which aims to make EV charging more accessible throughout Europe. Since this summer, the service has been available in five European markets: Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK. Now, the service has been expanded to include six additional markets: Denmark, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.

As part of the cooperation, Hyundai has become one of the first car manufacturers to use the unique &Charge service. This enables customers and Charge myHyundai users to reduce their costs by giving them the opportunity to charge their Hyundai EV for free.

The partnership represents an important milestone for both companies, as the simple and convenient integration of public charging into everyday life is a crucial factor for boosting the acceptance of e-mobility. It also plays an important role in Hyundai’s company vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, based on a determination to ensure universal mobility while supporting an emission-free society and a sustainable future through innovative solutions and partnerships.

By adding six more markets to our exciting cooperation with &Charge, Hyundai is continuing to help make e-mobility and EV charging even more affordable for our customers. This partnership further underlines our commitment to increasing EV use throughout Europe.

&Charge: offering Europe’s first sustainable bonus programme

Since its market launch in 2019, &Charge has established the first sustainable bonus programme for e-mobility in Europe, built a strong community of EV drivers, and laid the foundation for its crowd-sourcing approach.

In addition to its sustainable bonus programme, in which customers across Europe can shop in more than 1,500 partner online stores and collect ‘&Charge Kilometres’ (EV charging credits) in return, &Charge has established a unique gamification approach and enables a social experience to ensure frequent user feedback around EV charging.

Users of the &Charge app can deliver real-time feedback on individual charging stations and the charging experience they offer to ensure the well-functioning and reliable public charging infrastructure that is crucial for the overall success of e-mobility. This crowd-sourced data can then help Charge Point Operators (CPOs) to detect any faults and improve the service at their own charging stations even more rapidly.

Hyundai customers can earn bonus points in the form of ‘&Charge Kilometres’ – EV charging credits in the &Charge app – by providing feedback on charging stations and the charging experience. Those points can then be redeemed for vouchers that can be used for free public charging in the Charge myHyundai app.

We are very pleased to have partnered with Hyundai Motor Europe to make EV driving more affordable and to jointly work on the success of e-mobility. In line with our slogan ‘We make charging more affordable, accessible and fun’, we offer EV drivers various services to make charging even more convenient. This partnership highly pays off as a new model for success and is an innovation in the rapidly developing e-mobility market.
