Barclays Investment Bank today announces the appointment of Aamir Khan as a Managing Director in its UK Investment Banking Coverage team. Mr Khan’s primary focus will be to further grow Barclays’ M&A capabilities with UK clients. Mr Khan joins Barclays in February 2022, and will report to Alisdair Gayne, Head of Investment Banking, UK.
Mr Khan joins Barclays from HSBC where he has spent the past six years. Most recently, he held a Managing Director role within their M&A team, working primarily with UK clients in the consumer and retail, and TMT sectors. Before that he spent 10 years at Lazard originating and executing M&A transactions across a range of sectors, with predominantly UK-based clients. During his career, he has advised on a number of important transactions including advising CK Asset Holdings on its acquisition of Greene King plc, Carlyle on the sale of PA Consulting and Remgro on the sale of its stake in ULSA to Unilever plc.
