MHP announces Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services to further support cloud transformation in mobility and manufacturing.
Today, the management and IT consultancy MHP announced a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support MHP customers with more efficient and sustainable cloud solutions in the mobility and manufacturing sectors. MHP also plans to develop its own software product offerings on AWS that will enable customers to accelerate time to market, lower operational costs, and reduce implementation complexities.
MHP customers will be able to take full advantage of additional services ranging from SAP migrations to the cloud, artificial intelligence, end-to-end cloud transformation projects, industrial software solutions, and digital products including supply chain management tools and digital twins.
MHP looks back at 25+ years of experience in delivering digitization projects both inside the Volkswagen Group and to customers in the mobility and manufacturing industry. Since 2019, MHP and AWS have showcased a successful relationship supporting automotive customers on their cloud transformation journeys including Volkswagen. The expansion of the collaboration comes at a time when many organizations of all sizes are planning to migrate their workloads into the cloud. MHP and AWS are combining their expertise and knowledge to further accelerate cloud transformation for their joint customers globally. As part of the collaboration, MHP and AWS will support customers as they navigate industries disrupted by electrification, vehicle and ride sharing initiatives, smart factories, autonomous vehicles and autonomous industrial operations. For this purpose, suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are relying on MHP and AWS to help them innovate faster, drive down operational costs and optimize machine productivity.
MHP makes it easier for their customers to receive local advice on realizing business value through leveraging the power of AWS and MHP’s extensive commercial and technical capabilities. The new offering will allow customers to directly benefit from management and IT specific consultancy and delivery services as they can easily contact MHP’s specialists on AWS in each MHP location across the globe to receive support. Through this collaboration, MHP will be addressing four strategic areas: 1) migration and managed services focusing on SAP and bespoke applications, 2) industrial software development, 3) innovation in the mobility and manufacturing industries with a focus on IoT, artificial intelligence, and machine learning and 4) cloud transformation projects for major automotive and manufacturing clients. In addition, MHP has established an AWS community for employees consisting of 350 people and certified more than 300 employees on AWS recognized skills. Over the next five years, MHP will train and certify 450 additional business and 555 technical professionals to further drive growth across the business.
“MHP and AWS have had a successful, trusting relationship since April 2019. AWS is one of the most important players in the cloud business worldwide. We are grateful and excited to now work even more closely with AWS, not only because of its global reach, but also because of its pace of innovation. This gives us the opportunity to jointly create added value across all business areas and thus, realize the best solutions for our customers,” says Michael Appel, Partner – Industrial Cloud Colutions at MHP.
“Since 2019, MHP has supported major companies in the mobility and manufacturing sector to successfully transition their IT systems from traditional on-premises data centers to the AWS cloud” says Klaus Bürg, General Manager Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Amazon Web Services. “By expanding this collaboration, customers can take full advantage of MHP’s extensive expertise from the definition to the concrete implementation of a cloud journey.”
