BNP Paribas: appointments at BNP Paribas Fortis

– Max Jadot will succeed Herman Daems as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas Fortis as of 1^st January 2023.
– On the same date, Michael Anseeuw will become CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of BNP Paribas Fortis, succeeding Max Jadot. Michael Anseeuw will join the Group Executive Committee.

Today, the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas Fortis has taken the following decisions:
– Max Jadot will succeed Herman Daems as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas Fortis. Max Jadot is CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of BNP Paribas Fortis as well as member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Group since 2011.
– Michael Anseeuw will succeed Max Jadot as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of BNP Paribas Fortis. As a result, he will join the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Group. Since 2014, he is Head of Retail Banking of BNP Paribas Fortis and joined the Executive Board and the Board of Directors in 2015. In his new role, he will report to Thierry Laborde, Chief Operating Officer, BNP Paribas Group, Head of Commercial, Personal Banking & Services.

Having received the approvals from the regulatory body, these decisions will be effective from 1^st January 2023.
The Board of Directors of BNP Paribas Fortis has also decided to confer the title of Honorary Chairman to Herman Daems who is stepping down as Director.
