Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced that Philips Radiology Operations Command Center Console has received its EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR)[1] certificate for remote scanning capability [2]. A major step forward in making radiology expertise for diagnostic imaging accessible to more patients in Europe [3], expert radiologists can now assist technologists on-the-spot, by remotely controlling scans to acquire high quality images needed for improved diagnostic confidence and patient outcomes.
“With the Radiology Operations Command Center, we can support multiple locations in real time. We utilize the expertise in our Command Center to ensure that every site has access to it. This helps us to improve efficiency and maintain the same level of care at all facilities,” shared Martina Salomon, MR application specialist, at Med360°, Leverkusen, Germany.
