Hoofddorp, Netherlands – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), and the world’s largest express transportation company, today announces it is the main partner of EuroGames 2022. EuroGames 2022, an inclusive sporting event, welcoming some 2000 athletes from 27 until 30 July in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, celebrates diversity and inclusion through a series of sporting events where everyone can participate.

This partnership reflects FedEx’ commitment to inclusion, embracing people’s differences and empowering them to bring their whole self, be it at work, or in sports. It is the second time FedEx Express in Europe has sponsored the EuroGames.

Denise Abbott, Senior Vice President Human Resources Europe, FedEx Express, said: “Diversity and inclusion happens because we do it together, which is why FedEx is so proud to be a sponsor of this year’s EuroGames. Our mission is to enable our people to be seen and heard for who they are, from work to the playing field and everywhere in between. Through shared differences we believe we are building a stronger organization. We’ll be cheering on team FedEx and the other participants loudly.”

Henk Beerten, chairman of the EuroGames 2022 said: “The EuroGames aim to increase awareness and draw attention to LGBTQ+ equality and human rights. It is wonderful to welcome FedEx as a main sponsor and to see their team members join from across Europe to participate in the sports activities, thanks to the support of their inclusive employer.”

FedEx team members were invited to participate in the EuroGames and will take part in 9 of the 17 sports offered by EuroGames.

In supporting its team members and promoting a workplace in which people feel comfortable to be themselves, FedEx actively facilitates – through forums and networks – team members to use their voice and to educate others about the importance of inclusion. FedEx also invests in recruiting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities it serves.
